About The Penfield Symphony Orchestra
Founded in 1955, the Penfield Symphony Orchestra (PSO) continues to provide local residents with “live symphonic music close to home.” The musicians who are members of this orchestra are music educators as well as professionals and musically talented community members from all walks of life.
The PSO offers its audiences a high standard of classical music performance. The orchestra's aim is to culturally enrich the community through exciting renderings of classical, modern, and pops music. The PSO's annual schedule includes four symphony concerts performed in the Penfield High School Auditorium as well as a free "Picnic Pops" summer open-air concert sponsored by the Town of Penfield. The orchestra's concerts feature guest artists of local and national renown. The PSO is proud to have commissioned many new works over its 56-year history.
We invite you to join us for one or all five of our exciting concerts planned for the 2011-12 season.
